Bio

A mix of trip hop & indie alt-rock with hints of drum and bass and break beats some reggae and dub vibes, moody melodies, dark atmospherics, heartbreaking lyrics and sultry female vocals. UNDADOGG’s sound is refreshingly unique and difficult to forget. UNDADOGG’s founding members; singer/lyricist Andrea Caruso, and twin brothers Ruben- guitar and Remi- drums & Percussion, have been playing together since high school.  Bonding musically over a love of Black Sabbath and Portishead, they have evolved from bandmates and friends - to a tight knit family. Over the years UD have gained respect, credibility and established themselves as one of the few bands in Toronto doing something different. 

UNDADOGG received a FACTOR demo grant, which they used to record their 2010 EP release “Jinxed” with Juno award winning producer George Seara. Since then they have recorded a second EP “Open Up My Eyes” 2012, again with George, and are now currently in the studio working on new material due out early 2014. Lead Singer Andrea also released a 3 song CD single collaboration entitled "Breathe" with Toronto DJ duo Version Xcursion in 2010. The track debuted at 1 on CKLN's electronic chart, and this past year collaborated on 2 new songs with VX for their "Best of" disc . UD has recently been featured on OMNI TV’s  “V-Mix” program, and ROGERS TV “Daytime”, “Toronto Sessions” and “Home Cookin” programs. 

 

Whether playing full electric, or stripped down acoustic, UNDADOGG create a mood that sets them apart from the masses. Playing the live circuit in a sea of pop, punk, metal and rock, UNDADOGG's music can't help but stand out and get noticed. Known for their captivating style, stage presence and alluring live shows; this band always leaves you wanting more…
